The Heritage Burlington chair and vice chair collaborate with committee members to prepare an annual work plan that supports the committee’s mandate. The work plan begins January 1 and ends December 31.
During the first quarter of each year, the chair and vice chair work with committee members to prepare an annual report that outlines the activities and deliverables of the previous year. The annual report is submitted to Burlington City Council. It is included as part of the council information package or it is presented to the relevant standing committee of Council.
Heritage Burlington may prepare a communication plan to support the work plan. Advance notice of communication requests must be made to the committee’s clerk. This allows enough time for the clerk to work with communications department staff to provide graphics, editing, printing and advertising services.
Internal communications services are available to the committee and the committee clerk provides the first point of contact for all communication and media requests
